FC Cincinnati sign Adrien Regattin - Without a club since August

Major League Soccer side FC Cincinnati are close to signing Moroccan winger Adrien Regattin, according to a report by The Athletic writer Laurel Pfahler. "We are working on a second signing and [are] close also," Cincinnati general manager Gerard Nijkamp said last week. 

Update Jan. 5: FC Cincinnati have confirmed the signing of Adrien Regattin. “We are happy to add a versatile attack-minded player in Adrien to our current group,” FC Cincinnati general manager Gerard Nijkamp said. “We look forward to getting him acclimated with the club and city ahead of our second MLS season.”

Regattin has been without a club since leaving the Turkish second division side Akhisarspor in August. Ligue 2 side Caen was also interested but it now appears that Cincinnati have won the race for his signature. 

The 28-year-old had five goals and two assists in 36 appearances with Akhisarspor. Previously he competed for Osmanilispor FK, also in Turkey’s 1.Lig where he had nine goals and six assists in 80 games.
