Transfermarkt has updated the market values of 374 players in the Indian Super League. The league valuation fell by ₹8 crore as a result of numerous variables influencing player market values. The cumulative squad values of the 12 Indian Super League clubs now amount to around ₹447 crore. Mohun Bagan is at the top of the squad value rankings, despite the decrease in the value of many foreign players. With their good play and form, the Kerala Blasters players made significant gains in the update.

In line with previous Indian Super League market value updates, younger Indians have seen an increase in value, while older foreigners have seen a decrease. Despite the devaluation caused by the change in league level, Jason Cummings remains the most valued player in the league, with a market value of ₹8.8 crore. Lallianzuala Chhangte, with a market value of ₹2.8 crore, is the most valued Indian in the top tier. The Mumbai City Winger continues to tower over teammate Apuia and Sahal Abdul Samad of Mohun Bagan.

No less than 11 Indian Super League players have seen their market value rise by ₹60 lakhs or more. They include Goan left-back Jay Gupta (₹20 lakhs to ₹1.4 crore), who is the biggest gainer of the update (+₹1.2 crore), and Blasters duo Sachin Suresh (₹20 lakhs to ₹1.2 crore) and Milos Drincic (₹1.8 crore to ₹2.8 crore). Jay has been exceptional all season, and there was no doubt about his big gain, while the age factor and form helped Sachin and Milos gain big values.

Sahal Abdul Samad, who joined Mohun Bagan from the Kerala Blasters in a swap deal in the summer, has seen his market value rise from ₹2.2 crore to ₹2.6 crore after a rousing start, overtaking many of his teammates in the national side.

Only the Kerala Blasters and FC Goa have seen an increase in squad values. Other than Sachin Suresh and Milos Drincic, Mohammed Aimen (₹20 lakhs to ₹1 crore), Dimitrios Diamantakos (₹4 crore to ₹4.8 crore), Daisuke Sakai (₹1.6 crore to ₹2,2 crore), Danish Farooq (₹1.4 crore to 1.8 crore), and Vibin Mohanan (₹1.4 crore to ₹1.8 crore) all gained value from the Blasters. Gaurs Jay Gupta, Arshdeep Singh (₹1 crore to 1.8 crore), Noah Sadaoui (₹4 crore to ₹4.8 crore), Carl McHugh (₹3.2 crore to ₹3.6 crore), and Sandesh Jhingan (₹2 crore to ₹2.4 crore) gained in the update.

Factors like age, lack of playing time, and form have certainly affected many big players. Among the players who had a big decrease in value are Oswaldo Alanís, Kwame Peprah, Jason Cummings, Nasser El Khayati, and Moirangthem Thoiba. With a loss of over ₹5 crore, Hyderabad FC are the biggest losers in terms of squad value. Bengaluru FC also has to accept eleven downgrades, with Naorem Roshan Singh, Curtis Main, Sivasakthi, and Salam Johnson Singh losing 40 lakhs. Players that lost value as a result of injuries include Ashique Kuruniyan, Freddy Lallawmawma, and Aibanbha Dohling.

Its always a fancy to have high gains for young performing talents. Their younger age makes them valuable in the market. Parthib Gogoi of Northeast UnitedVishnu P. V. of East Bengal, Mohammed Aimen, and Vibin Mohanan of Blasters all had their values increased. The average age of foreigners has fallen this season compared to previous seasons, and as predicted, the value of performing young foreigners has increased. Top foreigners Dimitri PetratosAdrián Luna and Hugo Boumous did not see any changes in their value. Odisha's Cy Goddard is among young foreigners to gain value.

How Transfermarkt market values work?

The Transfermarkt market values are calculated, taking into account various pricing models. A major factor is the Transfermarkt community, whose members discuss and evaluate player market values in detail. In general, the Transfermarkt market values are not to be equated with transfer fees. The new values entered by users in the Market value board are an essential part of the market value update.

The goal is not to predict a price but an expected value of a player in a free market. Both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant in determining market values. Examples of this are listed below. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (you can find the detailed market value definition here).
